Relax in this peaceful, family friendly campground, nestled in the foothills of Mount Elliot and the Great Dividing Range. Enjoy the 70 acres of shady grounds with plenty of wildlife, including pretty faced wallabies and abundant bird life. The 20-acre dam is spacious and picturesque. Rain fed it can be low during the dry season. When full it is lovely for kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Unfortunately, there are no fish in the dam as yet. Our adults only property is at the foothills of Mt Elliot, just a 35 minute drive rom Townsville in the Australian Outback. The property is also a wedding venue and has some incredible swimming holes, fishing spots and nature hikes. Our large camp sites provide the perfect spot to enjoy a get away in the great outdoors whilst still having basic facilities to make your time away easier. We have a flush toilet, cooking facilities and an outdoor shower available for use. There are two large dams on the property along with a range of livestock and wildlife. Unfortunately our property is not suitable for children. Campers are required to supply their own water for the duration of their stay. I find the rainforest good for enjoying the birds. If you're up for an adventure bring your mountain bike and go riding, or head of for walks along the creek. It's very peaceful. You will find the Wallaman Falls, Mt Fox and National Parks nearby. This campsite is located about half an hour from town. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. There is a picnic table for meals, access to water, power and wifi as well as rubbish facilities.
