Australia's unique Annual Afro-Cuban Dance, Music and Culture Celebration.

An exciting weekend exploring the history of Cuban culture through dance and percussion workshops plus performances in the roots of salsa from Australia's greatest Cuban dance and music artists.

Afrekete 2024 will be held for the 2nd time in the Townsville LGA, this time on the beautiful island paradise of Yunbenun, Magnetic Island, home of the Wulgurukaba people.
