Groper Creek Caravan Park is the perfect spot for your next holiday or weekend getaway.
A short scenic drive through the Burdekin cane fields,14 kilometres off the highway at Home Hill in North Queensland, the park provides 50 powered and tent sites located on the waterfront or under shady She Oaks and Coolabah trees. Boasting sparkling clean amenities, an on-site dump point and affordable rates, the park is a popular destination (especially with grey nomads who have been making their annual pilgrimage for decades), so it is best to book well in advance. The Home Hill Boat Club also has two airconditioned units for rent.
The two public boat ramps, located on each side of the picturesque Groper Creek Jetty, provide direct access to the abundant fishing grounds in the Burdekin River, estuaries, reef and beyond.
Guests can go fishing; try catching prawns directly off the jetty; photograph the abundant birdlife, magnificent sun and moon rises over the water; explore nearby tourist attractions; or simply kick back and connect with nature.
The park is one of North Queensland's best-kept secrets!
