As the cultural capital of regional Australia, Townsville North Queensland's cultural and performing arts scene is a part of the community's fabric. A variety of acts, live shows, and exhibitions are regularly presented throughout the city's creative spaces and galleries.

Located along the Ross River, Riverway is a hub of sports, leisure and art. The Riverway Arts Centre combines art, leisure and the natural environment to create new and unique experiences for all. Catch a performance in the theatre or meander through an exhibit at Pinnacles Gallery. While you’re there, take a dip in the lagoons which cover a size larger than three Olympic-sized swimming pools, or soak up some sun on the deck. With rostered lifeguards, café and free admission, Riverway offers a great day out for all ages.
