Owned and operated by a young Italian couple and recommended by TripAdvisor, The Guardian, Chef Matt Preston, DUOMagazine, TravelTalk and Visit QLD, The Early Bird was established in 2015 and is'the' place to be!
Theirs is a quirky little place overlooking the stunning Horseshoe Bay, on Magnetic Island, across from the tourist strip of the beachfront.
Their team is made of a cheerful yet professional and efficient bunch of people, who have created a simple relaxing atmosphere for locals and tourists alike. They deeply love what they do, and they do it with love! Their food is fresh, rustically prepared and appreciated by many food lovers!
Their menu is seasonal, because they proudly use only the best locally sourced produce available. Their sourdough bread, for example, comes from the best artisan bakery of North Queensland (Three Loaves Bakehouse), their coffee is ethically sourced and locally roasted by Coffee Dominion, they bake their own cakes and scones on daily basis and they offer a huge selection of organic loose leaves teas and herbal infusions, stocked by The Tea Centre.
They are also a fully licensed bar, offering an Italo-Australian cocktail menu, artisan beers and a seasonal selection of wines.
