The Burdekin Gateway Visitor Information Centre is located on Railway Avenue in Home Hill. Situated behind the Home Hill Comfort Stop, it's the ideal place to call in when first arriving in town. The friendly and knowledgeable local staff can provide advice on what to see and do, and where to eat in the Burdekin. As an accredited Visitor Information Centre they are able to provide travel information including brochures, itineraries and maps. Free wi-fi is also available. The Centre is air-conditioned, and houses part of a photographic collection from the Lower Burdekin Historical Society. The recently redeveloped Burdekin Visitor Information Centre is located in Plantation Park on the Bruce Highway in Ayr. It is about an hour's drive south from Townsville, and an hour and fifteen minutes north of Bowen. With lots of parking space for caravans and motor homes, Plantation Park makes an excellent spot to break your trip and consider your options. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, this accredited Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on things to see, things to do and where to eat. The centre offers up-to-date travel information including maps, brochures and itineraries. Free WIFI internet access is provided, and now operating as a Driver Reviver site, free tea and coffee is available. The friendly volunteers are ready to welcome visitors to the district. Charters Towers Visitor Information Centre

The Charters Towers Visitor Information Centre is located at the intersection of Gill and Mosman Streets right next to City Hall. Due to the COVID19 virus, the Visitor Information Centre is temporarily closed to the public however for information please call or email and staff will be available to assist you Monday - Friday. Built in 1880 at a cost of 2350 Pounds, the information centre started its life as the Union Bank and is just one example of the many stunning heritage buildings which line the streets of Charters Towers. Ask for a heritage walking map so that you can see first hand the expert handiwork of the stonemasons and builders of the 19th century. Or, hire a CD or USB which will take you on a self drive tour around the city while providing you with excellent commentary and information. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures and tour bookings. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Charters Towers Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on things to see, do, where to sleep and where to eat. Hinchinbrook Visitor Information Lounge is located on the Bruce Highway, south of Ingham. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures, and itineraries. Townsville Visitor Information Centre - City

This Visitor Information Centre is closed from 16 March to 15 April 2020. The Townsville City Visitor Information Centre is located in the heart of the Townsville Central Business District just off Flinders Street. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Flinders Square Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. Discuss with the friendly staff your travel plans or make a booking. Travelling with a Caravan or RV? Parking on Flinders Street is limited for Caravans and larger vehicles. Suitable parking is located on Dean Street or close to the Reef HQ and Museum of Tropical Queensland. From Dean Street, take a short walk across The Victoria Bridge to take you right into the heart of the CBD. The Visitor Information Centre is located 700 metres along Flinders Street from Reef HQ and the Museum of Tropical Queensland. Follow the accredited Information Centre signage to find your way. Townsville Visitor Information Centre - Elliot Springs

This Visitor Information Centre is closed from 16 March to 15 April 2020. The Townsville Visitor Information Centre - Elliot Springs is located on the corner of Elliot Springs Boulevard and Wadda Mooli Parkway just off the Bruce Highway on the southern side of Townsville. This accredited Visitor Information Centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures and itineraries along with Tour and Accommodation Bookings plus Souvenirs and Gifts. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Townsville Visitor Information Centre - Elliot Springs can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. Discuss and book your travel plans with the friendly staff. Heading North? They are located at Elliot Springs on the left hand side of the road approximately 3 kilometres north of the Alligator Creek Service Station. Heading South? They are located at Elliot Springs on the right hand side of the road approximately 17 kilometres south of Townsville on the Bruce Highway.
