With school holidays fast approaching, these local hot spots are tried, tested and parent-approved and will be winners with your littlies! With opportunities to get up close and personal with some of the region’s native flora and fauna, while letting their curious minds explore and learn - you'll be set for activities for all ages.

Get hands-on with the interactive displays at the Queensland Museum Tropics where you and the tiny-tots will learn about the high-seas and discover the stories behind Indigenous artefacts. Exhibitions and collections come from across the nation and the globe so there is always something new to see and learn.

Billabong Sanctuary

Billabong Sanctuary

Feeding a kangaroo and cuddling a koala must be every child’s dream, and with more than 50 native animals calling Billabong Sanctuary home, this is where their dreams can come true! Plan your visit to participate in one of the park’s regular animal shows – including crocodile feeding, koala talks, and reptile shows.
